My husbands brother (single & never married and no children) just died and had properties on his name but before he died he signed the quit claims and gave it to my husband. Who has the rights to his properties - my hasband or his siblings? Brothers parents are both dead.
If he signed quitclaim deeds and gave them to your brother, your brother owns the properties.

Hi JACKIE,

Welcome to the forum.

He has quitclaimed the property to your husband - right. So your husband is now the owner of that property. Have you notarized the deed and recorded it in the county recorder office?

If you want to know more about quitclaim deed, you can check this article - http://www.mortgagefit.com/quitclaim-deed.html

Hope that will help.

Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Best of luck.
