quitclaim deed

Father in law wants to sign farm to me. He is seperated from his wife not a leagal sep. just split. How will this work?

If your father-in-law does not stay in a community property state, then he can simply sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property to you. I don't think there will be any problems in that.
