i am sole owner on mortage and deed of my home. i am getting married and wondering if i should put my fiance' on my deed (using a quit claim deed) prior to having to remortgage as a married couple. (and yes, i will have to remortgage).
welcome paulajordan,

if you and your fiancée want to refinance the mortgage in both the names, then it would be good to add his name to the property with the help of quit claim deed. thus, your fiancée would become responsible for the mortgage as well as the property.
