Can my son to a quick claim deed to me. We brought the house together on the loan and due to serious problems I need to take responsiblity for the house.
ca my son sign a quick claim deed to give me sole owner of our house and property. We brought the house togther?

if you both are on the loan, then the only way to remove one of the parties is to sell or refinance the home. if only yourself is on the mortgage, then you can use the quit claim to remove him from title. remember, you can add or delete parties from title, but you cannot add or remove parties from the mortgage or loan...good luck!

Hi Charlotte,

If your son's name is mentioned on the property deed as an owner of the property, then he can sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property solely to you.
