hello,
this is a sticky situation but here it goes. a special someone that i know lost his wife due to a battle of ms. she passed away about a week before they were suppose to get a divorce. the mother-in-law has been on a rampage, to make the son-in-law pay(somehow for her daughter's passing). i guess she has gotten a quit deed for her grandson for the house. what is going to happen or what should we do??
thank you for any help you have!!

Hi Scared!

If there is a quitclaim deed stating that the child is the owner of the property, then I do not think you can do anything. However, you should note two things. A quitclaim deed can't be done in the name of a minor child. Secondly, if the person wants his property back, he can go for a reverse quitclaim. If the other person is not ready to do that, then, your friend can challenge the deed in the court.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
