I own a house along with 2 brothers. We each own a third. I am going to sign a quitclaim deed to transfer my third to one of my brothers. The brother that I'm transfering the property lives close by. The other lives out of state. Do both of my brothers have to be involved in the paperwork, or just the brother that I'm transfering my share to?
Hi jesconstruc,
I don't think you would require the presence of the brother who lives out of the state while to transfer the property to your brother. You need to sign the deed and transfer your share of the property to the one you feel like.
Thanks
