I have a drainage ditch behind my house and it's part of my property. I am not allowed to build, improve or do anything with it. Can I quit claim the ditch part back to the builder? or what are my options.

Thank you
kdkway1951, welcome to mortgagefit.

whether you want to quitclaim the drainage ditch part or complete property.??

I assume here that you want to just quitclaim the drainage ditch in order to save on property tax. and I am sure you can do that.

keep in touch.......

Hi kdkway,

I do not think you can transfer the drainage ditch. It is part of your property. You cannot transfer it separately. Moreover, I don't think the the builder would be interested in taking the ownership of the drainage ditch. But you can discuss this with your builder and see if they can help you in any way.
