My husband owns commercial property with his brother and it's a cash business. His brother never gives him money for the rent his collect. My husband wants out and he wants his wife on the deed and half own with his brother. Can we do interspousal transfer? Not sure how to go about this.
Hi
I believe a quitclaim deed or a warranty deed should be enough to transfer the ownership. Your husband needs to sign as grantor and you will be the grantee. Then, you should notarize and record the deed. It's always good to involve a lawyer in such transfer to make sure everything's done legally.
