Property Transfer Letter

What safeguards can be put in place so that a family member does not forge a quitclaim deed and transfer property out of your name into his/hers? Would a letter filed with the County records office which states that I must be present with identification before a transfer can take place be sufficicient or recommended?

Thanks for your advice.
Hi tarponhunter!

Welcome to forums!

You should contact a real estate attorney in this regard. The attorney will help you in knowing the steps which will help you in safeguarding your property deed against any kind of forgery.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
