Quit claim deed transfer

Posted on: 28th Oct, 2013 01:57 pm
How can I find out who is named as grantor and grantee in a quit claim deed transfer? Example: There are 3 estranged family members -- a mother and 2 sons. One son is summarily disinherited; the other son has been and continues to be the beneficiary of anything and everything. I believe that a quit claim deed transfer was initiated and recorded in September, 2011. Is there a source I can go to in order to determine whether such a transfer actually occurred? Thank you very much.
Hi Jenifer!

Welcome to the forums!

You need to check out the quitclaim deed in order to find out the grantor and the grantee to the property. You can even contact the county recorder's office to find out about that quitclaim deed.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Thank you, Sussane. Your advice was very helpful. I found out everything I needed and wanted to know -- plus a whole lot more!

Thanks again.
