My mom is needing to get help from V.A. for her husband who is in the nursing home. She owns a house that my sister lives in rent free. We were told to get help for V.A. money she would have to put my sister on a quit claims deed for the house. Do you know anything about that? Also can she have my sister on the deed with myself as survivor ship. I'm thinking my moms name would have to be off the deed totally. Thanks for any input.

Hi redfox!
Welcome to forums!
If your mother's name is removed from the deed or if you are your sister's name is present on the deed, then I don't think your mother will get a VA loan. The children of any eligible veteran are not considered to be eligible for the home loan benefit.
Thanks.
