withdrawing a quick claim deed

Posted on: 12th May, 2009 12:29 pm
once a quit deed is signed by an individual do they give up all rights to the property? if so, can they withdraw the claim?
Hi karen

Once a grantor signs a quitclaim deed and transfers the whole property to the grantee, then the grantor has no rights to the property anymore. If you want to withdraw the claim, then you will have to ask the grantee to sign the quitclaim deed back to you.

Thanks.
