Quit claim deed

Posted on: 08th Oct, 2008 08:54 am
hi,

i am currently on the title of a property with my brother and his wife, and i want to take my name of the title. on the quitclaim deed form, do i have to list my brother and his wife again (they are already owners of the property)? can i just quit claim to the property ifself without putting anyone's name in the grantee(s) place?

ps: i am in california

thank you,
tiffany
Hi Tiffany!

Welcome to Forums!

As you are quitclaiming the property interests in your brother and his wife's name, you will have to put their name in the Grantee(s) place though they already own the property.

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
