I brought suit against a partner and won the property via courts, do I still need a quit claim in Texas.
Welcome LDF,
Yes, I think you need a quitclaim deed in Texas even though you've won the title. The deed will help you to remove the partner's name and put yours in it.

Hello LDF,
I feel you should asked your friend to sign a quitclaim deed as you have own it through court. That will help you to remove his name from the deed and your name will be on the deed. By the way you should notarized and record the deed in the coiunty recorder's office for making the deed valid.

If your partner will voluntarily sign a quitclaim, then do that.
There are also postjudgment remedies. For instance, you can get a turnover order to order your partner to sign the quitclaim deed.
Also, there may be a way to have the court sign a title document that you can record. Check with the attorney in your case, or a local real estate attorney.
