quit claim

My husband and I have filed for divorce. he had signed the quit claim 6 months ago. He has a child support case filed against him that led to this. Is he entitled to half my house or will the quit clain stand in court. Concerned mother.
Did he sign the deed to take his name off the title to your house?

georgina, if your husband signed the quit claim deed to transfer his interest over in your name then you are now owner of the house. your husband does not have any rights over it anymore and is not entitled to get any share out of the house. if the deed was properly notarized and recorded then it is a legal property transfer document and cannot be changed now.
