Can I Quitclaim my home to my sons who live in another state

I would still like to pay the taxes and insurances. Can this be done? The home is paid off.
If you quit claim the house, ownership will get transferred in his name. In such situation, property taxes will be coming in his name.

Correct you can transfer to him. You should be able to get the bills for taxes and insurance sent to you however. You will have to check with the local auditor or whatever they call them in your area and with your homeowners insurance company. Check for tax assessor, auditor, property value administration, etc. with your city or county name on Google, if your not sure of who to talk to.

Hi Cook,

When you will quitclaim the house to your sons, you will be giving up your rights to the property. Your sons will be getting the property ownership in their names. And being new owners to the property, they will have to pay the property taxes and insurances.
