Do I still have an interest in the house if a quick claim deed has been signed over to my husband, not as a "gift"? We never got a mortgage on the home.
From Las Vegas, NV
Hi caidensfan ,

If you sign the quitclaim deed with a life estate then you will possess the ownership till your death. But if there is no life estate in the quitclaim deed, you have no interest on the property. In quitclaim deed the granter simply transfer all the interest of the property to the grantee.

Thanks,
Larry

Hi Caidensfan,

If you have signed a quit claim to your husband, that means you have transferred all your interest in the property to your husband.
