hi, i know a couple who is trying to refinance while in chapter 13 bankruptcy. apparently, they have the approval to secure debt--refinance and hopefully pay off a large portion of their debt--which sounds good until you know that one of them is currently involved in a felony domestic non-support trial. would this company refinance them if they knew that? just wondering. thanks.
Hi janeevermore!

In my opinion, one should not hide such facts from the lender. The couple should inform the lender about the felony domestic non-support trial. Then it will be discretion of the lender whether he will agree to a refinance or not. If the couple hides the fact from the lender and if the lender comes to know about it later, he may call the loan due immediately.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
