Does homeowner have to be physically in state to signed paperwork on a refi by Texas law? or can paperwork be sent to traveling notary where homeowner is temporily working?
Hi conniesieber,
I think the homeowner has to be physically present at the closing to sign the mortgage documents. As far as I know, at least one borrower is required by law to be present at the closing. If you are the only borrower, you will have to be physically present to sign the mortgage paperwork and the promissory note.

Hello,
ofcourse you can do this.

jenkin7, the poster wanted to know if being physically in texas was a requirement, and i think the answer to that is a no. you were addressing the presence of the poster at closing, which is a different issue, i believe (if i read the original post correctly).
kasper might just have been correct on this one.
