my credit score is at a 567 and my other half is at 628 and they said that we would have to wait to refinance once my credit score was above 580 is there somewhere they we can get this done and still be in the 5 percent range.

clay, since rates seem like they'll remain low for a while, i'd think that you won't be particulary hurt by waiting for your score to escalate that additional 13 points. if you're making payments as stipulated by your creditors, the credit bureaus will report accordingly and you should see an increase soon.

George is right in that you will not be hurt be waiting a while. However you should do more than jus "wait". You should actively try to increase your credit score. Get a copy of your credit report. If you have any past due balances, pay them. If you have any collection items, pay them. Then look at your credit card balances. You want the balance on each card to be less than half of your credit limit. Do what you can to pay some of those down strategically. Call your credit card companies and see if they will raise your credit limits. Good luck !
