Deed Changes and refiance

My dad passed away without leaving a will, he owned a house with my Aunt. We are currently in the process of changing the deed (to remove his name and add mine) Once this is complete is there a waiting period in New York for me to refiance the property? I have lived in this house over 20 years and have paid the mortgauge on it for over 10 years

as far as i know, you can refinance your loan any time. but there are some lenders who might have a seasoning requirement of 6 months. this means that you should be the owner of the property for at least 6 months and then you might be able to refinance the loan. to know more on this topic, check out the given page:
