hi my husband and i are in the process of getting a divorce and he is wants me to remain with the house. he is willing to help me refinance our home because i have bad credit. he stated that later when i correct my credit i can remove his name from the deed. can you help me with any type of information or programs that i may qualified for. thank you.
hi thank you for a quick response. should i go the bank instead. also, later on should i do a quit claim deed transfer.

Hi yolie,

Your husband can sign a quit claim deed and transfer the property to you but he won't be able to help you in getting a refinance. If he does so, then he would still remain liable for the loan. You will have to improve your credit score first and then get the loan refinanced in your name. Once you do so, you would become solely responsible for the loan.
