my husband and myself are disabled trying to refinance our home the place we are working with needs...a paper from doctor that our disability will not improve within the next three years well the problem is our doctor wont give us a paper he says he doesnt feel comfortable doing it we really need this are there any suggestions of how we can get this. our doctor says he would probably do it if there was a paper the office could just fill in, is there such a form.
Why do not you write a small letter and ask your doctor if he can sing it, insted of the doctor writing it.
Worst case change your doctor and go to doctor who can understndyour situation.
If you are not able to work due to yoru medical condition, the doctor shoudl not have any legal issues in givign this letter to you.

Hi patty!

I haven't heard of any such form. However, it would be better if you could contact an attorney and check out if he can draft you a form like that.

you usually just have to prove you are getting the disabilaty for the next three years
as scott noted, what the lender is looking for is that your disability income is likely to continue for at least 3 years. this is the standard which allows the lender to consider that income as stable. in this case, they've asked for a physician's note that will provide that information. i'd hate to suggest you find a new physician, but that might just be what you'd need to do in order to get this loan request moving forward.
i can only surmise that your physician is reticent to sign such a letter because he must believe that the physical disability will not continue for at least that 3 year period. have a frank discussion with him to see if you can persuade him to comply with the lender's request.
