After a divorce my credit was destroyed.I'm recently remarried and my wife has excellent credit above 740s.I also have a mortgage for a home at 8.4% which is current.I cant qualify to refi,how can I have my wife refi so we can reduce the rate to current levels? Should I refi or sell the house outright to her? The house is a rental and it would save about 350 /month in payments.Thers is also about 50K in equity in the house at current market pricing.

you can add your wife's name to the property deed. once she becomes the owner of the property, your wife will be able to refinance the mortgage in her name. as there is equity in the property, your wife won't face any issues in refinancing the mortgage.
