Am I responsible for equity loan not in my name but i am grantor on home owned by myself and siblings

mother passed away two years ago. home equity loan was started before her death and mother and my sisters names are on loan. i cannot access statements on this loan and am concerned with the amount. is it reasonable to ask for the loan to be refinanced in all siblings names so we can all benefit from tax deductions, etc.
Hi lwilson,

If the property has equity and if you and your siblings meet the required criteria of the lender, then you can request for a refinance. Once the mortgage is in your names and if you pay the loan dues, you all would be able to claim tax deductions.
