i am in need of help asap. i am refinancing my home and i was told that i need my ex- husband to convey the property over to me and sign a deed. the property was given to me in the divorce. the property had the street address but did not have the legal description of the property in the divorce. in order to complete the refiance they are telling me i need him to convey the property to me. i do not talk to him and i do not know where he live. i live in texas. the loan is underwriting and i need to close asap. i did a home equity loan and i was divorced and i did have my ex-husband sign any type of papers to do this.

I think you should immediately contact your husband (irrespective whether you talk with him or not) either personally or through your lawyer.and ask him to quitclaim the property to you.This is really possible to find out his information on internet either through social networking website or through any other means.
