It would be wise to find another job before you refinance. I understand that you want your ex off of the loan, but if you were to somehow find a loan program that allowed you to refinance without a job, your rate would be through the roof. Find a job, then refinance.

While refinancing, the lender will check your credit score and your income. If you do not have a job, you will not be able to prove your income to the lender.
