My husband & i are refinancing and my credit score is low so they sujested that my husband only be on the note. Does this mean i'm not part owner of the house.
hi cherylwoolley,

after the refinance, if your name is mentioned on the property deed, then you would still be considered as the owner of the property.

thanks

It happens all the time due to the credit score of one person eitherr causing the mortgage to not be possible or possible, but causing higher interest rates.

You can still be on the deed as an owner as long as there are no liens or judgments against you.

In many states, you are an equal owner if you are not on the deed as long as you are married and it is the marital home.

First thing, how low is "low" and what are his scores. Yes, you can be on the title and not on the mortgage. It still be on the deed as an owner. Depending on how low your score is; you still might be able to be on the loan.
