Will I be able refinance a mortgage which has been modified few months back?
Hi Guest,
It will be solely the discretion of the lender as to whether or not he will allow you to refinance the loan after modification of the loan.
Thanks,
Jerry

After a modification, sometimes it is possible to refinance and sometimes not.
If any principal was forgiven, usually not.
Different guidelines exist for conventional and FHA mortgages.
Ask a local lender or call your lender/servicer and ask them. It is not possible for us to give you a definite yeas or no. There are too many variables involved. All we can say is maybe or maybe not and that does not naswer your question.
