the guy im living with owns his home but his exgirlfriend is also on the mortgage loan with him.its been three yrs now since she moved out she had only lived in the home for 2months and now after 3yrs wants her name off the mortgage how can we do that.she also wants money for the home when she hasnt been here what is is intital to
there are two things. as you said her name is on the mortgage, but is her name also on the title. if not then she cannot ask for any money for the house.
and if you want get her name off the mortgage then the other person needs to refinance the loan in his name alonf.
also if the title is also in her name then she needs to do a quit claim deed to tarsnfer the property to his name alone
