we are currently going through naca for help on our us bank mortgage which we are behind 6 months in payments. us bank say that they will not deal with a 3rd party like naca. is this the end or can naca refinance us or give us a loan themselves?
Hi michelles,

If your bank is ready to deal with a 3rd party, then your best bet would be contact the lender yourself and negotiate your mortgage. As you're 6 months delinquent on your mortgage payments, I doubt that your lender will not be ready to refinance the loan. You'll have to apply for a loan modification.

Thanks

A loan mod sounds like your best bet. with 6 months of arrears you'll need to be able to roll them into the total outstanding of the loan - I can't see you coming up with cash equivalent to half a years mortgage payments

Naca can provide you with information on how you can advocate for yourself with your bank if the bank does not choose to work with NACA.
