trying to refinance - a have a mortgage in my name and when filing all the refinance paperwork, i informed them i wanted to add my partner to the mortgage - so they requested everything from us, tax years stuff, bank statements - everything. then today i get a call from the guy with the mortgage company saying they can't add my partner to the mortgage because they don't show where in his credit info where he pays for his half of the mortgage.
i told them he pays me and then i pay the mortgage, since it is currently just under my name - my partner and i have excellent credit scores. the mortgage guy with the place we are trying to refinance with said that it is a freddie mac guideline - i called freddie mac and they said they have no such guideline for refinancing. can anyone help me out with this?
