does home have to be refinanced after death of owner if property is left to him in will?

can son continue payments on property after my death without refinancing if his name is not on the loan papers or should I add his name to mortgage loan?

hi slboat,

it is good if your son can refinance the loan in his name after your death. but if he keeps making payments on time after your death, he does not necessarily have to refinance the loan. as long as the payments are being made, the lender would not force your son to refinance the loan.
