I am a home loan gurantor. Now, i want to remove my name as gurantor. what has to be done? please state.

The only way to remove your name from the mortgage as guarantor is through a refinance. As John has stated, those who are currently on the mortgage need to refinance in their name. A simple assumption will not work in this situation.
