Once my name is removed from the mortgage what are my options for future purchases
Hi jackson,
If your ex-wife refinances in her name, it will not affect your credit in any way. If you have made the loan payments on time till now, your credit should be ok. In that case, you are eligible to apply for a new mortgage to purchase a home.

Yes, all the past payment history on ur credit score will always stay there and will look good for you. I seen no problem with you applying and getting a mortgage if your score and finances are in good standing.
If you have been current on your payments on your loan and no defaults, then probably it has potentially help you to increase your score.
And when you plan to take a loan in the future it shows some good history.

undoubtedly that refinance will help you, as it will remove your responsibility for that loan. in the future, if you seek a new loan, a lender will not consider that mortgage as your obligation.
