I live in Tennessee. I recently refinanced my home, I was supposed to get a total of approximately $3200 back at closing. I have so far (2 months later) recieved a total of $2200 and have been able to find $383 of the remaining $1000, but no one seems to know where the last $600+ is (the mtg broker refuses to return my calls or help at all - this after charging me nearly $10k in fees and they were the ones who did the initial financing!). This is the second time they have been less than honest with me then refused to communicate.
I would like to know if I have any legal recourse in this situation - I don't want anyone else to get ripped off by these people. At this point it is not about the money it's a matter of principal.

Call an attorney. You will have to spend some money....possibly the $600 you are looking for.
Hi kewlbloos,
You should immediately consult an attorney and let him deal with the lender on your behalf. I think you will also be able to sue the lender if he refuses to give you $600.
Thanks
