we are active duty military. we moved from our primary residence due to an assingment and have had it rented for 5 years. it has been vacant since july. my husband will retire in oct and will move back as our primary residence.
the lender said we have to refiance as a second home because we are not living in the state.
how will this affect our taxes?
captial gain if we sell in two years?
primary residence status if when we move back in oct or should we just wait to refinance?
thanks

Sounds like you need to speak to a more informed loan officer.
