Our home loan has been purchased and changed hands among lenders many times since we originally purchased our home. The loan documents have my full legal name but the original title document has my nickname. If the original title document has my nickname, is that the document that takes precedence over all others?
Hi sandiestiles,
I did not understand what you wanted to say by: "If the original title document has my nickname, is that the document that takes precedence over all others?" The loan has changed hands but not the property deed. However, as the mortgage docs and the property deed has two different names, you should try and rectify the property deed. You should file a quit claim deed and transfer the property to your full legal name.
Thanks
