i'm trying to refinance my townhome for a lower interest rate. i owe approx $88,000 and it's probably valued now at $145,000. i tried lending tree, but they wouldn't even let me apply because they don't handle mortgages that low. i have good credit. i'm on my own and having a hard time making ends meet and really need to get a lower interest rate to lower my payments. i tried contacting my current mortgage company, but never got an answer back. i think my loan is just too low for them to bother with. can anyone help me find a mortgage company that will work with me? thanks!
Welcome diwright,
You can contact the other local mortgage companies and try to get a refinance. As you have equity in your property, you should be able to get a mortgage refinance. However, not only equity, the lender will also consider your credit score and income. I hope both of them are good enough to qualify you for a refinance.
This community has a large number of lenders. You can seek a no obligation free mortgage quotes from them and try to know what type of rates and terms you may receive if you apply for a loan.
