my mom took out a reverse mortgage years ago has spent it all and im having a dificult time getting her on medicaide why is it so hard because i have heard you can have a car and home and still get medicaide so if she has a reverse mortgage she would be worth less than having a home thats paid off any help or suggestions would be appriciated

You should check out the income requirement for Medicaid assistance of your state. In order to qualify for Medicaid assistance, your mother should fulfill the income eligibility requirement. If her income crosses the limit, then she won't be considered as eligible for the assistance.
