i filed bankruptcy in dec. 2009 everything has been finalized. my first mortgage reaffirmed but my second mortgage did not get the papers in at all even with many phone calls. each month i continue to pay the second mortgage, but i have a really hard time getting them to take the payments. sometimes it takes me 3 days just to get someone to accept it?? the mortgage has been totally removed from my credit report. so now i don't know how much i owe or anything? do i still owe the mortgage? where is my money going?? can i get any papers on the loan? i am so confused!!
Hi oslove4all,
As you haven't reaffirmed the mortgage, you're not personally liable for the loan. But if you stop the loan payments, there are chances that the second lender will foreclose the property. You might reopen your bankruptcy filing and reaffirm the second loan and then start paying the dues.
Thanks
