selling a house in s.c. when i live in n.c.

I have inherited a house after going thru 1 year of probate in the state of S.C. The house is in S.C. I live in N.C. and if I sell it do I have to pay any kind of taxes on it ? I haven't lived in the house since back in the 80's.

If you make a profit from the sale of the property, then you may have to pay capital gains tax.
