Is it wise to use stimulus to pay bills

Posted on: 12th May, 2008 03:15 pm
I am planning on using my stimulus to catch up my mortgage, I was doing great and then with the price of gas and the cost to go to work got that 1 month behind again. I am so irritated by this, hope the gas comes down soon, it almost does not pay me to go to work.

How are you guys spending your stimulus?
I'm going to use it on my car loan payments, just got behind last month and need to catch up. But hey, do you know not many people still know whether they'll get a rebate.

"stimulus" - so what is supposed to stimulate? our imaginations? our work attitudes? our home lives? our sex lives? our spending?

aha! yes, indeed...our spending, so that we can stimulate the profits of those who want our money...look at all the ads! come spend your $600/$1200, etc. at our store and we'll give you 5% back! maybe 10% back if we're nice!

the only proper place to use our "stimulus" is to take care of the business we've been trying to take care of all along, without trying to line the pockets of those who have. "them that have shall get" after all.

Thinking about it, I am gonna have some drain work done here at my house, I hope it comes in soon, I am tired of hearing the kitchen drains sing everytime we pull the plug on one of the bath tubs, getting scary, I don't know what is going on down there, but it can not be good.

I am gonna pay my brother to bring his backhoe and dig me a ditch and get my house hold drains out of my septic. I have a really old type system, can't afford to update, so I am gonna move the drains. Should not take the whole chunk of change that we are getting back, but probably about $500 of it anyway with the shale and the pipe, labor and digging.

So, that is where part of my stimulus is going, fun, fun.

These gas prices are putting my family in the poor house so I have to use mine to pay off SOOO many things. It just went up again along with my hubbies wages. He got .50 raise and we still keep less and less in our pockets. Some say the price is going to reach $5 a gallon soon. Alot of people working part time or for min. wage will soon have to make a decision if they can afford to go to work or take welfare. This is SICK>
