how do i file my taxes i am the trustee of a house?
You should see an accountant. Pay the fee...it will be well worth it if you are not sure how to handle your return.

thanks for the reply. i guess i should have added and asked- i have been the trustee and possessor of the quit claim deed since 2003, but have always been filing my taxes as a renter because i assumed my folks were still the owner. is it a case of i must file as owner, or is it that i could file that way?

Hi rob,

If you are the grantee to the quitclaim deed, then you are the owner of the property. In that case, you can file your taxes as a owner of the property.
