Please provide soem details on about yoru credit score and some history of why it is bad.

See if you can work on improving your credit score before you apply for some loan.

you won't be able to get a home equity loan with a bad credit. lenders would want you to have a credit score close to 700-720. you can contact the irs and set up a payment plan with them so that you can pay off the dues. you can also contact the state tax department and check out whether or not you can set up a payment plan with them.

i have set up a payment plan with both of them. Maine is horrible to deal with. It's not like we don't want to pay it, but they make it so high i can't afford to live or lower my deductions. if they would lower the payments and let me take more time to pay it. she wants $3000 in 3 months and told me i would have to live in the street. i was told alot of them don't even work for the state but collection agents they hire. can you explain to me the part paying off the dues?? will they stop the interest and penalties. we don't have the money for a tax attorney but make too much to get legal help. i've been sick to my stomach.

sorry i think you should seek an attorney and maybe look into a chapter 13 bk
