I live in Texas and I want to add my partner to my house deed without refinancing. I understand that I can do that with a quitclaim, but how do I deed it back to both our names?
Go to the Title Co where you closed or a local Title Co and they can help you will adding your partner.
Hi,
You need to draft the deed such that you as the grantor are transferring a share of your property to your spouse. An attorney may help you out if you cannot find a title company to draft the deed for you.
Take a look at a few sample quitclaim forms to get an idea of how it's done.
Thanks,
Jerry.

If I wanted to use a quitclaim form myself, where it calls for the name of the second party do I insert my name and my partners or indicate 50% only to my partner. I'm confused I'm in need of very basic instructions. Thanks to everyone who has helped and will help.
Yes, you deed from you, to you and your partner. There are different ways to hold title, the most common is "tenants in common".
So the Grantor would be "[your name]", the Grantee would be "[your name] and [your partner's name] as Tenants in Common".
Don't use a quitclaim deed, use a grant deed.
Make sure you have the deed notarized and recorded in the county recorder's office where the property is located.
