Affidavit of Heirship - expanded info on question.

Posted on: 30th Mar, 2011 02:25 pm
The affidavit of heirship has been filed with the county clerk (Texas)...now what? Do I need to prepare a Deed for the property? How does it get into my name? PLEASE help! Thanks.

PS: Its a $20K trailer and lot, I am the only heir. :?:
Hi Pookie!

Welcome to forums!

As the affidavit of heirship has been filed, the property will get transferred in your name. The county clerk's office will generate and new deed in your favor. Nevertheless, you can even have a word with your attorney and take his help in this matter.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
