Hi valeriestevens!

Filing bankruptcy is not a crime and thus the bankruptcy laws does not bar a person from relocating if he/she has filed bankruptcy. However, before relocating, I would suggest you to talk to your lawyer about it. There can be certain unique reasons in your case and he/she may ask you to delay your relocation. Also, make sure to inform your bankruptcy lawyer about the updated address or phone number (after relocation) so that he/she can get in touch with you whenever required.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
