My wife's grand-mother willed her home to my wife approximately 2 yrs ago. Grand-mother's three sons are not willed any real property. The sons are planning to place grand-ma into a nursing home (TX) within the next few months. She will have minimal funds at the time of entering a nursing home. My wife plans on relocating into grand-ma's home after she is moved into the nursing home.
Will Medicaid then come after the home, for nursing home expesnses, forcing the grand-daughter to move out?

Hi madjusterb,
Though the property is willed to your wife, the grandmother is still the owner of the property. In that situation, the Medicaid authorities might have the rights to recover the properties for nursing home expenses.
