If I have a loan without escrow for taxes and insurance should there be an escrow fee?
If you're waiving escrows they shouldn't be charging a fee to set one up.
If the fee is like $80
That is a tax service fee, ONE time charge. It allows the lender the opportunity to track your taxes. If your taxes go up or down. In your case, if you are current or behind.
Allows the lender to keep any eye on things.
